Sauce | ||
6 oz | can Pastene Tomato Paste | |
1/4 cup | honey, or agave | |
1/2 cup | white vinegar | |
1/4 cup | water | |
1 tsp | sugar | |
3/4 tsp | salt | |
1/4 tsp | onion powder | |
1/8 tsp | garlic powder | |
Brisket | ||
3 | stalks celery, chopped | |
3 | large carrots, chopped | |
3 | large potatoes, cubed | |
1 tsp | paprika | |
1 | large brisket | |
salt & pepper |
Directions
Sauce:
- Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat; whisk until smooth
- When it comes to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often
- Remove from heat and uncover until cool
Brisket:
- Put in large pot sautГ© onions and garlic on the bottom
- Sear brisket on both sides,
- Add water halfway up then add sauce
- Add paprika, salt and pepper
- Add chopped carrots and celery
- Cook over low heat for proximately three hours.
- Serve with carrots, celery,В and potatoes (can be cooked in the same pot as brisket)
